In casting news, one of Hollywood’s most promising young stars allegedly has been casted as Johanna Mason in the upcoming Hunger Games movies. Jena Malone is the rumored new cast member of the Hunger Games  movies. People may remember her for starring in cult favorites like Saved, Donnie Darko, and Into the Wild. This is an unexpected casting decision for both Jena and the Hunger Games’ production team.  The casting choice may surprise many because the Johanna role, or any role for Hunger Games, is highly sought after, and some fans were expecting an actress with a bigger fanbase to receive the role.  Others might be surprised Jena took on such a big Hollywood movie; though she has done blockbuster films before, this will probably be her biggest grossing film.

Jena Malone is such a good actress we’re sure she’ll do a fantastic job as Johanna.  So some may not like this decision, but we’re one hundred percent backing this one. We can’t wait for the next installment of Hunger Games and to see who’ll play Finnick Odair. What do you guys think about the casting news? Are you looking forward to seeing Jena Malone as Johanna? Who should get the role of Finnick Odair?

  1. Athena Fleming says:

I think Jena Malone is one of the top actresses in Hollywood! I have been following her career ever since she was younger and did the film Stepmom with Julia Roberts and Susan Sarandon. I hope that this rumor is true and I love that the films are taking talented actors over celebrities to play key roles (If you haven’t seen Josh Hutcherson in Little Manhattan yet then you are missing out on something very charming and well made).
